Vaulting Groups:
 I - Direct vaults
 II - Vaults with full turns in preflight
 III - Front handspring and Yamashita style vaults
 IV - Vaults with ¼ turn in preflight (Tsukahara & Kasamatsu)
 V - Round-off entry vaults

Table height requirements

Vaulting table height requirements

  To measure the table correctly you must begin from the floor and stop at the middle of the top of the table according to it's arc. The following measurements have been taken from official documents from each governing body.

USAG JO - (USAG Rules and Policies 2001 - 2004)
Class 1 - Imperial: 53 inches ± 1 inch
              Metric: 135 cm ± 1 cm

Class 2 - Imperial: 48 inches ± 1 inch
              Metric: 120 cm ± 1 cm

Class 3 - Imperial: 42 inches ± 1 inch
              Metric: 105 cm ± 1 cm

Class 4 - Imperial: 42 inches ± 1 inch
              Metric: 105 cm ± 1 cm

Compulsory Class 5 - 7 may use the table at any height.

NCAA - (2001 - 2002 NCAA Gymnastics Rules)
Imperial: 53 inches ± 1 inch
Metric: 135 cm ± 1 cm
